The Kraków University of Technology Internet Database of Offers for Industry is a component of a project for commercial use of research results, which is carried out at the University within the programme of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and is entitled Supporting Innovative Academic Enterprises.

The database consists of four modules:

• EXPERTS – information about academic staff from the Kraków University of Technology who are experienced in providing expert advice to various industries; including areas of expertise and reference lists of delivered expert opinions.
• LABORATORIES – information about the equipment available at the Kraków University of Technology and types of tests and analyses completed with the use of this equipment; including a description of laboratory equipment and apparatus, a list of certificates obtained and reference lists of tests performed.
• PROJECTS – information about research and development projects and innovative programmes implemented at the Kraków University of Technology, as well as finances from external sources; including data of project objectives and results achieved.
• TECHNOLOGY OFFERS – information about the results of research projects carried out at the Kraków University of Technology which may find their application in various industries; including a description of processes offered, progress in research projects, protection of intellectual property and the industry where the results may be used.

In addition to the database, the project includes the development of management procedures for intellectual property at the university (regulations for the use of results of innovative projects completed at the university, among others) and other procedures, such as: assessment of implementation potential, contracts between authors and the university for copyright transfer, rules for regular assessment of academic staff, rules for the establishment of spin-offs at the university.
